Kate Elliott
She has experience working within the Cardiology wards and Cardiovascular Intervention Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Along with working here at the Cardiovascular Centre, Kate is currently working as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse for the Integrated Cardiovascular Clinical Network SA for the Country Access to Cardiac Health (CATCH) program for the South Australian Rural Support Service and has a passion for providing cardiac education to country patients who have difficulty accessing cardiac rehabilitation services.
Kate has a keen interest in the area of cardiac arrhythmia’s with a focus on Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and is always looking for ways to improve AF patient outcomes by highlighting to patients their risk factors associated with AF and helping address these risk factors with evidence based education. Kate is looking forward to further developing her knowledge in the arrhythmia area of cardiology with a focus on new and emerging research in Atrial Fibrillation to continue to improve the AF patient’s outcomes.
Kate is currently working with us in the Cardiovascular Centres multidisciplinary cardiovascular risk factor management clinic together with our specialist cardiologists.
