About us

The Cardiovascular Centre is comprised of a diverse and highly trained team of Cardiologists who offer a full range of adult cardiology services in Adelaide. The centre is well equipped to provide the highest quality of care to patients.

We have the provisions to quickly assess urgent referrals and we work hard to ensure our services are readily accessible for referring general practitioners and physicians. With our combined knowledge and experience in the field of cardiology and electrophysiology we work as a team to provide patients with excellent medical care and on call services that are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Our cardiologists have admitting rights to teaching and private hospitals in Adelaide to ensure rapid response and treatment for cardiac emergencies.

As cardiology specialists we focus on the diagnosis and treatment of all areas of cardiology. We take pride in remaining up-to-date and progressive in diagnosing and treating cardiac diseases.

Cardiovascular Centre

History

The Cardiovascular Centre was established by Professor Sanders in 2008 with the aim of providing a quality and comprehensive cardiovascular service in South Australia focused on exceptional patient care.

The centre has always maintained a special interest in cardiac arrhythmias, but has expanded its service offerings to also include other cardiology specialties and procedures.

Developing new and innovative approaches to heart problems and patient care

Together with the University of Adelaide's Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders (CHRD), we are involved in multiple studies, ranging from 'pure' research to applied clinical trials and consultancies. You can help us continue to expand our important research program, and make an impact of your own. This will ultimately benefit everyone undergoing treatment for heart rhythm disorders.
